In the Mattha family code, three Kings of Judah, Yaharshe (King 8:24), Joash (King 11:21), and Yamashe (King 14:21), together with Jaharshe's mother, Yatalia (Sun of the King of Israel, 8:26), usurped the throne of Judas after her son, Ahash, died. The Bible does not make it clear why the names of the three men were painted, but their apparent relationship with the Jaha family is the key to their delisting.
Uthiah means "The Lord is the power" and Azariah means "The Lord has helped." At the age of 16, he reigned in Jerusalem for 52 years (14:21 and 26:3) and was a rare good king, but in his late years he committed the sin of entering the house of the Lord without permission, burning the incense on the altars, causing the hening of the head until the day of death.
